April developed her passion for marketing while earning her Bachelor of Arts at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. A proud Canadian born and raised on the east coast, April journeyed further east and completed her Bachelor of Public Relations in Halifax at Mount Saint Vincent University. It was there where she found the passion for social media that she has today. When it comes to social media, no one does it as well as April.
With a personal social network of over 25,000 contacts, including 15,000 followers just on Twitter, her likeable personality shines across all platforms. Her social media savvy led her to working with Major League Baseball in New York City’s Fan Cave, where, as the first and only Canadian, she connected with millions of baseball fans.
Connecting with baseball fans is nothing new for April, though, having worked as a PR intern for the London Rippers baseball club and founded the website JaysProspects.com, which focuses on Toronto Blue Jays minor league players. Initially a fan of the Montreal Expos, April's passion for baseball might even top social media!
At Pragmatic, April leads the marketing team in the management of social media, content, web development, and much more. She also volunteers at the Toronto Humane Society and helps manages the Pragmatic volunteer program, working closely with the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies and Regent Park School of Music.
