Protecting the environment and developing sustainable business practices are core initiatives that are part of the corporate culture at Pragmatic.

We continuously focus on providing sustainable solutions for our customers, and improving internal communications in an effort to reduce overall carbon emissions.

At Pragmatic, we provide sustainable solutions that are environmentally friendly. In our conferencing department, our experienced guidance on interactive virtual meetings, remote training, and virtual desktop support, provides solutions that help our customers avoid unnecessary travel.

Reducing Carbon Footprint

In May 2013, the global carbon dioxide in the atmosphere passed the average daily level of 400 parts per million for the first time in human history. Almost every car ride and every flight adds carbon dioxide to the air, and little is being done to deploy alternative technologies.

It's no surprise that CO² levels are increasing and having a negative impact on the environment, and we are seeing the effects every day. Sea levels are rising, temperatures are increasing and more severe weather can be seen worldwide.

Internally at Pragmatic, we are focused on initiatives that minimize our carbon footprint. In addition to maximizing the use of our own conferencing solutions to reduce travel, 100% of Pragmatic staff either take public transit, bike or walk to work when they are in the Pragmatic offices. This was not mandated but a collective, conscious choice on the part of Pragmatic personnel to do our part.

By using our conferencing collaboration tools, our customers have been able to not only save on expenses, but also save the environment by significantly reducing carbon emissions that are emitted when travelling.

As a Certified Carbon Neutral company, we believe in doing our part to help the environment. Every day, our customers choose to conference in lieu of travelling, creating a positive impact on the environment. Since the launch of our loyalty program in 2013, together, our customers have diverted the total kg of carbon you see below:

Carbon Neutral Label

We have taken our sustainability actions one step further by successfully completing the process to become a CSA Registered Carbon Neutral™  Organization. This achievement means that Pragmatic has measured and verified our carbon footprint and offset our remaining emissions by investing in carbon reduction projects across North America. This standards-based program was developed by CSA Group in collaboration with Green Business Standards (www.GreenBusinessStandards.com) of which Pragmatic's CEO, James Baskin, is a founding member.
